Cornerstone Christian Academy remains committed to providing a path to a quality Christian education to all families, no matter their economic situation, and desires that no potential student be denied access to the school solely for financial reasons. What you might not know is the actual cost of tuition is supplemented by our generous donors. So in a real sense, everyone who enrolls at Cornerstone receives discounted tuition. However, we realize that even our discounted tuition may create a significant financial burden for many families. As a result, we offer a tuition assistance program.
How Tuition Assistance Works
At CCA we believe in keeping costs for families as low as possible and we work within our available resources to make the school accessible to as many students as possible. Tuition assistance awards are limited to a maximum of 75% of the annual tuition. Hardship grants above the 75% limit are based on reported extenuating circumstances.
Any family of a Kindergarten – 3rd grade student may apply. Many factors are considered when determining the amount a family is able to pay, including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of the family.
Scholarships may be given for one year or for a term as short as a quarter. The application process is repeated annually. Thus, all aid recipients must repeat the full application process each year. If a family does not meet the deadlines or follow all the steps correctly, they may not receive tuition assistance.
All decisions are determined by the Board through a blind review process, with priority consideration given to returning students in good standing. All tuition assistance requests, including financial information and award amounts, are kept completely confidential.
Families may apply for tuition assistance at any time during the admissions process or after enrollment.
Tuition Assistance Process
After submitting an Application for Admission, submit a FACTS Grant & Aid Application. To be considered for aid, all requested documents, along with the $40 processing fee, must be submitted to FACTS.
Applicants who receive awards will have two weeks to accept the award. Awards not accepted within two weeks may be withdrawn at the sole discretion of CCA.
Financial aid awarded may be reduced or withdrawn if a student withdraws. When awarded for more than one family member, the withdrawal of one or more students reduces the amount awarded to the family accordingly.
Assistance requests by prospective families are evaluated starting May 1st, with Award decision notifications usually within two weeks. For requests received after May 1st, please allow a minimum of two – three weeks for processing.
Tuition Assistance Policies
- In order to receive Tuition Assistance, the parent/guardian must set up a payment plan through FACTS Financial.
- Accounts must be current and maintain a current status to receive scholarship funds.
- At sixty days past due, a student loses scholarship status. At ninety days, a student is not allowed to return to school until the account is made current.
- Please note: Tuition Assistance applications are not considered until a New Student Application has been accepted.
